The Georgestown Neighbourhood Association (GNA) represents residents in the area bounded by Military Road, Bonaventure Avenue, Empire Avenue and Monkstown Road. It monitors and addresses issues concerning the well-being and quality of life of our neighbourhood, and seeks to preserve and enhance the social and physical environment of the neighbourhood community. It also seeks to promote community service, to provide proactive responses to liveability issues, and to develop a sense of community and togetherness.
The GNA Board of volunteers is elected once a year at our Annual General Meeting and meets monthly. The association formed in 2000, though the Georgestown Neighbourhood Improvement Program worked on community issues and planning for several years in the late 1970's and early 1980's.
